Huacaya Alpacas

Assemble´ (ah-sahm-BLAY) is a ballet move, defined as "Assembled or joined together. A step in which the working foot slides well along the ground before being swept into the air. As the foot goes into the air the dancer pushes off the floor with the supporting leg, extending the toes." Assemble´ is a lovely Appaloosa female, primarily white with fawn ovals on her back. We are super excited to see how she progresses and performs in the show ring.

Sage Advice is the first Xanadu cria from AOA Champion, Snowmass Lover’s Spartan. Her fleece is so densely packed, bright and fine. Her grey legs & ears are a surprise. We’re excited to watch her grow. 1st place halter all 4 Iowa shows + RC halter ABR Fall Fest.

Irish Meadows' Willow Girl is a gorgeous medium fawn girl, who really has the wow factor from the top of her beautiful head to her toes! With that pleasing head style, Willow has great conformation and a simply wow fleece. Willow has a bright, extremely crimpy fleece that just takes your breath away. Willow's sire, Irish Meadows' Reputation, pulled down 20 champion banners in his day, including 4 Judge's Choice awards. Willow's dam is a multi champion as well. This girl is a star!!!

Glacier Lily (Snowmass Dire Straits X Xanadu P Allure) is an outstanding girl. We are so excited to add her to our herd. in Lily's short show career, she has 1 Color Championship and 1 Reserve Color Championship. She is a mild-mannered girl but has so much presence. She commands attention and we love that about her.

RIA ZUNZÚN is a lovely light fading fawn juvenile female out of Playboy’s Rose, an MFI Playboy girl, and TP Matrix Jubilee. Zunzún’s fleece has a bright, shiny, soft, high frequency crimp that is consistent in character. She is a very feminine girl with excellent teeth and confirmation, typical of herdam and sire. Zunzún is bred to RIA Game Changer (Irish Meadow's Elite Max X RIA Santa Catalina) for a Spring 2024 cria.

Katara is a proven white girl who is a combination of the Caligula and Yupanqui lines. She no doubt gets her density and conformation from her sire, Poseidon, and softness and crimp from her dam, Iliana. Katara is owned by one of our borders who is eager to sell her so she is priced to sell. We will offer a breeding to one of our solely-owned Herdsires at a discount.

RIA Makarios (Blessed in Greek) is one of our go-to boys for PR and Pop-Up Events.

Pacheco is our main guy we use at PR and Pop-up events. He has a calm disposition and is easy to handle.

He exhibits a tight little zipper crimp with extreme uniformity, matchstick bundling, brightness and fineness across his fleece...the character lasting well down into his legs and belly. This is what the Judges have said: "his fleece is the same from skin to tip, back to front, all over..." ...he is "the same...all over." This is exactly what you want to hear. "clear winner" in the light Color Championship at the tough 2016 NEAOBA and at 2016 Empire -- beating out offspring of some of the most venerated herdsires in the country. "really well balanced and showy male, with overall stature and conformation, correct in his movement, with lovely density, good expression of character throughout, lovely exhibition of overall crimp style and consistency." As a juvie: "he has a nice typey look..." and "...great uniformity and fineness within the staple and across the blanket, showing advanced fleece characteristics." SKIN BIOPSY was performed at 30 months of age by Dr. Norm Evans in December 2017. Of note, his 15x scan shows large fiber clusters uniform in shape and placement within his connective tissue. This uniformity trait likely came from his dam. His scan shows only 4 guard type hairs from the 6800+ fibers in his 10 MM tissue punch. His true density is 86.75 follicles per SQ MM of skin. He shows a level 2 of 4 gland structure, with an average S/P ratio of 14.1 to 1, and only 11% of his secondary fibers are medullated which is rare since the average is near 60%. His 250x scan shows the presence of many round secondary fibers, and one hundred typical secondary fibers averaged 17.8 microns. Co-Owned with Man in the Moon Farm

We are please to announce out co-ownership of High Plains Tornado's Torrific with Rhonda and Kern Deschner of Tierra Prometida Alpacas. Torrific is an exceptional male with outstanding character, excellent organization and blinding brightness. He has excellent conformation and superb phenotype. Torrific's 2018 skin biopsy donce by Dr. Norm Evans showed well above average density for a large male. Many males with similar to higher density are smaller framed males. Torrific's 15x scan shows numerous typical fiber clusters to be very uniform in shape and placement within his connective tissue which is a fiber trait likely passed from his dam. His true density based on his BCS measures 76 follicles SQ MM of skin. 25 typical fiber clusters measure an average S/P of 11.2 to 1. His S/P view shows 8 typical fiber clusters indicating level 4 of 4 gland presence which based on history seems to be a strongly passed male trait associated with bright healthy fiber. This S/P view also includes a triad fiber cluster seen with alpacas with greater density. His last scan measures the average size of his primary to secondary fibers from typical clusters. 100 typical secondary fibers averaged 17.3 microns while 50 typical primary fibers averaged only 21.4 microns. This results in an S/P spread of only 4.1 microns indicating great uniformity of micron size. As a 4 year old male this small spread may be his strongest genetic trait as this ratio seems to be strongly passed from males to their offspring. The average S/P spread that I measure in mature huacaya males is 9+ microns. His average fiber diameter based on my stats is 17.66 microns. Note on all his scans that virtually none of his secondary fibers show medullation as noted by the stained red medulla cells in the center of his fibers. Torrific shows Wow fiber stats. I appreciate the opportunity to measure a male of this caliber. We are offering a special breeding fee of $2,000 for the first 10 breedings sold. Thereafter, his stud fee will go to $2,500. TP Jubilee's Charisma is stunning. He is a beautiful male with a bright, soft fleece. He has the combination of fineness and density that we have been seeking. He has beautiful conformation and style. He IS the complete package. His genetics are a combination of Caligula's Accoyo Poseidon, Vaccoyo's Triumph, and TP Matrix Jubilee. His EPD's are excellent across the board....all of them better than 10th percentile. Charisma skin BX "TP Jubilee's Charisma" was biopsied as a 27 month old white huacaya male with ARI#32547054. Her BCS is 7/10 and weight 138.2 lbs. His medium FS is 1.5 of 3. His 15X scan demonstrates fiber clusters very uniform in size, shape and placement within her connective tissue. His true adjusted density based on BCS measures 104.6 follicles SQ MM of skin and his average S/P ratio based on 25 typical fiber clusters is 11.3 to 1. Note from all scans that less than 15% of his secondary fibers show some level of medullation (red dots). He shows level 4 of 4 gland presence. One hundred secondary fibers averaged 18.3 microns and 50 primary fibers averaged 23.1 microns for a variation of only 4.8 microns. The above stats figure this 27 month old with above average BCS (7/10) AFD at 18.72 microns. Fantastic fiber stats that may even be a bit blown because of BCS. His first 3 cria are on the ground and they are lovely little girls. RIA Indio Dormido is a fusion of powerhouse genetics, Xanadu P Adorno and Snowmass Matrix Meadow Music. Adorno has the staple length, consistent architecture and brightness. Meadow has the fineness and soft handle. Both have impeccable conformation. Indio Dormido got it all and, like his sire, he gets better looking every day. In 2020, we were fortunate to acquire Perfect Storm who we co-own with Two Hearts Alpaca Ranch and Tierra Prometida Alpacas. This guy is really outstanding, with superb fleece characteristics, dense bone and excellent conformation. Perfect Storm is out of Snowmass Matrix Perfection, by Snowmass Defiance, an Elite Legend son. Perfect Storm has the best traits of both, including fineness (which is proving to be lasting), excellent consistency, density and high-frequency crimp that is well-defined and uniform throughout his fleece. His EPDs are exceptional (five traits in the Top 5%, including two in the Top 1%). Storm is the #4 ranked male in the EPD database for MC. This male is one of the best Defiance offspring we have seen, and there have been many.

His tag line says it all..."Why look for Mr. Right when you can have Mr. Right Now!!!" RIA Mr. Right Now is a super male who has correct conformation, a low micron with well-defined staples and excellent density. His sire's, Snowmass Loro Piana, first histogram showed an extreme finest at 10.8 of microns, SD of 2.8, 0.3%>30 with a curvature of 67. Loro maintained a 12-micron fleece at 6 years old. Mr. Right Now has settled his first females and is available for outside breedings. Call us with questions!

RIA Qari is a product of outstanding genetics, as one can see when viewing his histogram and EPDs. He has a dense, low micron fleece with well-defined architecture. In addition, his phenotype and presence are spectacular. His sire, Snow Diamond Perfect Storm, and dam, Derwydd Manchu's Qispiqay are both older now but retain the lingering fineness we all desire. *** Meadow is in the Top 1% for EPDs in AFD, SDAFD, SF, MC, SDMC and %M *** Snowmass Matrix Meadow Music is a song from a long line of wondrous and colorful genetics on her Dam's side and her sire is SNOWMASS MATRIX (enough said). Meadow has a bright high frequency, fine beautiful fleece, long staple length and excellent conformation. At the 2010 HLSR, the judge opened her fleece and commented that she needed sunglasses because Meadow's fleece was so bright. At that same show she won Reserve Color Champion and Judge's Choice in light huacaya fleece. She is the overall package. Meadow given us several crias, from white to dark fawn. She is a very stout, well conformed package with a treasure load of genetics to tap into.

This is our lovely girl, Adorno's first cria on the ground. She is a powerhouse combination of Xanadu P Adorno and Snowmass Matrix Meadow Music. Viola started her show career with a 1st place victory at the 2014 American Alpaca Showcase in Des Moines. Viola de Adorno has given us three superb girls, Vivien sired by Snowmass Perfect Storm, Violette sired by CCNF Elixir and Vita sired by Man On The Moon's Peruvian Ganymede. Both offspring got the best of both worlds from their dam and sires, plus outstanding fleece characteristics from grand dam Snowmass Matrix Meadow Music and grand sire Xanadu P Adorno.
